[Update 11/1/2011] – Congratulations to the winners of this contest, Tallaslint and rdejam!

Comment for your chance to win one of two $50 gift certificates to Britex Fabrics’ amazing online store!

BritexFabrics.com offers a stunning array of fabrics, buttons, ribbons and lace trims, and more and is the Internet home of brick-and-mortar store Britex Fabrics, a must-visit for any sewer or crafter in the San Francisco-area since 1952! We love their products, and were so excited to use their fabric, lining and vintage buttons for our Turquoise Tweed Cape project.

Until Tuesday, November 1st, you have an opportunity to win one of two $50 gift certificates.

To enter, answer the following question: What kind of fabrics would you like to see Britex Fabrics selling online? Two winners will be selected.

Good Luck!

I would love to spend a couple hundred dollars in that store… :) As fun as it is to look online, I’ll have to check out the store in person next time I’m in San Francisco… I just love seeing AND feeling fabrics. :)

I’ve had my eye on the Lindsey cape for a while now… I feel like it just begs for tweed…

I would love to see a greater collection of gabardine available online at Britex – some more patterned options in bright colors would be great.

More brightly colored wools like this. I love wool for winter, but so many places only carry the drabbest darkest colors. I would love to see a lime or mustard tweed.

Honestly, as a stay at home mom, I live in knit dresses and any fabric store I go to (online or in person), I go directly to the knits. So, I would love to see some knit fabrics.

Ooo yum! I love the cape! Right now I am wanting to see fine wools and woolen fabrics for sale online, particularly merino knit; good quality is so hard to find.

Britex fabric selection is not to bad. Since they sell the Millinery Veiling, a selection of facinator bases would be GREAT!!
