I grew up with Nancy Z, my Mother is a seamstress, as I started to learn to sew I don’t know how many times I heard " Nancy tells us to do it this way". And when we listened to the way Nancy did it, it always came out right.

I have several bags that I love but one of my favorites is a bag I bought at the hospital gift shop. It has a hidden zipper on the side that opens up a nice little stash area on the front of the bag. It is large enough to carry my projects in and leave enough room to carry my essentials. It is made out of a heavy canvas with a cream background and pink and grey elephants. It came with a matching wristlet that I currently use to carry my camera. I love making all types of bags and purses and am always looking for great patterns and Nancy’s are among some of the best I have found!

My favorite bag is a messenger bag. It’s brown with suede like fabric. The bag is medium sized and it was really inexpensive. It has lasted years and I carry it every fall and winter.

Currently I am bagless, sigh. But before that I had a great little black canvas bag from the army surplus store.

My current favorite bag is a small purse I recently made that also holds a diaper pouch inside for my 6 month old. I like that is a small purse and doesn’t look like a bulky diaper bag. Plus, it was my first purse sewing project!

Right now my favorite bag is a medium size backpack with lots of pockets. It’s a pretty floral print and works great for my everyday needs.

No laughing but my favorite bag is the reusable one I got at the grocer. I fill it up with all my projects (and my purse) until it’s bulging and haul it with me to sewing events and classes. I’d like to make a nicer/prettier one though.

I carry more than one bag depending on the project, but my favorite bag is over-sized. I can be reduced by snapping down the sides of the bags with little belt buckles but can be opened up wide for big projects. It has inside pockets for all the small necessities that I carry. I can always use another bag and would love to win this pattern and templates.

At the moment I am sporting a hand-knit bag but now that the weather has finally warmed up I plan to switch to a charm square bag that I made last summer. I love making handbags and totes!
