Camping . . . in a parallel universe, I guess? One that does not have mosquitoes.

Love the patterns in this collection, and will be making them, although probably more suited to backyard camping or lounging by the pool than any camping we do :) I ’m a rock climbing, clamouring up hills with the kids sorta girl when camping!

Maybe more camping at Glastonbury than camping in the forest? haha! I really like that maxi dress though. and you could scale the tent down to kiddie size or use it for a wedding? Whatever, i want that tent!

So what if it’s fantasy camping? Loved every single pattern, and the models are adorable.

These are really sweet! And most can be worn elsewhere in the summer. I’m thinking Vancouver jazz festival, the Pride parade, fireworks night and strolling along the seawall at sunset. The bikini top is cute – worn under a gauzy blouse or dress. There needs to be warning on the pattern – Decorative Item DO NOT SWIM in this !!! – LOL

Adjusting some of the patterns to fit larger sizes would not be too difficult and would look great, regardless.

I love the tipi and chair covers. August is our hot month here in the Bay Area. Maybe I’ll make a breezy cover up.

The look on the little girl’s face in the last photo is priceless. This stuff is what hippies wear when… living outdoors.

Why, why, why can’t we have some of these patterns in plus size??? With the exception of the (frankly ridiculous) bikini and possibly the slightly odd red and purple dress, all these patterns would not only suit plus sizes, but be simple for your computers to up size. I JUST DON’T GET IT! why aren’t fat people allowed to wear the same as everyone else, or at least get the choice!

As a Pacific Northwesterner I agree – This is not a camping wardrobe. I also understand wanting to look great but camping involves swimming in lakes (colder then what a string bikini top will be good for) and hiking (that long dress is going to get branches and be completely dirty by the end of the trail. I would wear the knitted top on a hot day but come on Burda – get real!

Not sure if this is the right place… anyway, the new patterns for August is up on the German site. Looks like it is going to be a fab issue! The link is: http://www.burdastyle.de/schnittmuster/heft-katalog/burda-style-heft/burda-style-08-2013/

Each year I have to wait through summer for the August issue, which has never disappointed me. Capes! These look beautiful! I may have to do a 6 month subscription again.

Wow – love lots and lots on there (and love reading it in German Wunderkind & Leiderhosen!!). That cape is amazing (would also look cute with an adapted peter pan colour, and the flowy pink dress. I agree with nouvellegamine they do winter better than summer.

The new fad is “glamping” which is glitz+glamor+camping. I like these. Who says a weekend of camping or even just a day trip to a campground can’t be colorful and whimsical? I think I might try the crochet bikini top just for fun, the tipi for a beach sun shelter and the long maxi dress so I have something for a little evening sun protection after an afternoon at the beach or canoeing or other on the water fun.

They are obviously not camping in the pacific north west. All you need is a full length rain coat and a pair of galoshes.

Camping? That’s something you do in a hotel room right? There is always one or two things in a new collection I want to make… alas not so in this one. Maybe the V neckline dress but in a jersey at a stretch?….Although i do love the little girls blue/white dress.

Great collection! I’ve just realized that I’m not the only one who want to look chic even in camping and outdoor things.
