Our BurdaStyle Influencers were busy sewing up some amazing projects in August! Everything from hoodies to dresses, and rompers – these styles ring in the end of summer with style. Get inspired to try a new pattern and read on to see what our influencers sewed up in August…

Laura from Trash to Couture really took this BurdaStyle hoodie pattern from the 01/2018 to the next level! From sketch to reality, Laura added these intricate back knots to make this unique hoodie pop from the back, and you can see how to do here!

Through some struggles, and two stitch ripped invisible zippers – Julie’s couture dress ended up coming out perfect! It is lined with bright orange to contrast the beautiful blue, and Julie even has a tip to prevent those linings “sliding out” that you can see here.

Heidi from Elegance & Elephants hadn’t sewn for her boy in a while, so she made these Boy’s Drawstring Shorts for her little one to explore the beach in.

Sweet Shard’s Sharadha wasn’t ready to start sewing fall patterns, and instead she added to her summer collection with this adorable romper. She used this pattern and brought it to life with some floral rayon challis. Read more here!

Diane from Dream.Cut.Sew brought our Embroidered Tank pattern to life with printed silk chiffon, and beaded straps. All of the seams were stitched as French seams, and bias binding finished the slightly gathered neckline beautifully. Read more about Diane’s tank here.

Sew-On-Trend’s Kari needed a new garment for her weekend wardrobe – and these trousers are perfect! She used our Hight Waist Trousers and pink linen. Kari said this project was “Super easy, super comfortable, super satisfying!

Sasha from Second Piano opted for our Flower Dress pattern as her August project. In this progress pic, she altered the pattern (since it was petite sized) and also used a floral fabric!

“I need these midi-length pants!” is what Sharon from Sharon Sews said as soon as she saw this pattern. She made a couple different versions as she saw the leg seam as a way to incorporate a design element! Read more here.
