This new collection from the April 2016 issue of BurdaStyle magazine includes 12 bohemian style sewing patterns for women. Flowing cuts and artistic designs that bring to mind jacquard and kilim prints. This collection has a nice nod to the theme of the seventies as well. The boho look is back, with detail-rich and breezy favorites that truly make us anxious to get summer started.

Slightly sexy yet totally acceptable for the office! This pencil skirt is narrow and features a high slit and an asymmetric front yoke.

This jumpsuit is not only comfortable but super on trend! Alluring slots at the front neckline and a deep back vent are all held together by a drawstring.

This jacket looks like a beautiful piece of hand-sewn art! It features subtle piping, welt pockets and asymmetrical crossing.

This cowl neck tank is different from the rest. It has a waterfall optic by an attached looped which is repeatedly looped like a chain around the neckline.

The cut of this slightly flared tunic with side slits is very simple and therefore it is ideally suited for large-scale prints like this patchwork print. Extend the length or or side slit length according to your mood.

This airy hip length tunic features a mandarin collar, aperture and sleeve hems that are offset by skillfully fragmented printed fabric.

These extra wide trousers are luxurious yet comfortable! The tapered yoke does not bear on the torso.

What is summer without a great pair of shorts?! They are made from a durable faux suede that can be machine washed.

This boho beach bag will fit everything from your sunscreen to your wallet! It’s lined and features a cord closure. Super easy to make!

This long dress features super large slits at each leg and a crew neck. Wear over a swimsuit or while on your next beach vacation.

Whether paired with a classic shift dress or like here with a top and shorts, this long waistcoat is the new way to style a simple outfit. Try it in an exotic print with suede or leather accents for a bohemian look.

Casually elegant, airy and easy to care for! This bohemian maxi dress is perfect for long, hot summer days.

If you really love it, as I do, you could ask a taylor to draft it in your size.I learned how to do it by taking the courses on Craftsy.

I love the collection. Realistically I only have the time to sew one item so I am purchasing the cowl neck tank. It’s such a great mash up of a cowl and an infinity scarf. I think it will look great in my work wardrobe.

I love the cowl neck tank -it really is quite unique.I love the beach bag and just happen to have everything to make it in my stash so I might start that one this afternoon. And I LOVE the final dress. I’m wondering if those close pleats or gathers or whatever they are on the maxi dress could be done using smocking techniques. I like smocking but most smocking patterns are for babies under two years old and/or little girls and none are from adult women. I might get the dress patterns and experiment with smocking the front just to see how it looks and if it can be done. Hmmmm, now I’m really intrigued about smocking the dress. Off to the fabric store!
