Separates in black and blue create instant drama for your office wardrobe. Look for details like a tuxedo blouse and rolled up trousers. These patterns are from the March 2010 issue of Burda Style magazine.

Stitched pleats keep these Narrow Pants pants crisp all day. The button waist tab has classic style for the office. You’ll look polished all day long in these essential pants.

This Draped Tee has freedom of movement thanks to a blousy neckline and jersey fabric. Close up the billowy silhouette at the bottom with a drawstring tie. Also makes a great beach cover up!

Make this essential Flat Front Pencil Skirt pop with royal blue stretch gabardine. It’ll give all your work outfits a little more pizazz! Try it with a crisp white shirt or a contrasting color.

The Skinny Ankle Cut Trousers are the pattern you need to get the perfect slim cut pant that fits just right. The rolled up cuffs show off pretty summer sandals, and darts hug them to your waist.

The Short Sleeve Tuxedo Blouse is perfect if you secretly love ruffled seventies tuxedo shirts. A detailed placket with pintucks and buttons has formal style you can tuck into a pencil skirt or just wear with skinny jeans.

Wrap up in the Wraparound Blouse with extra long sleeves you can push up casually. The collar and plunging neckline have masculine meets feminine charm with simple bottoms like pencil pants.

A shrunken Blouson Jacket to wear with all your skirts and tees. The lapels are short for a modern feel, and the jacket ends at the waist for spring.

These pretty basics are so chic in saturated shades of royal blue and black. Throw on a statement necklace, a chunky cocktail ring, and black heels, and you’re ready to call the shots in one fierce outfit.

Happy sewing!

I love the color combo. These pieces are all very wearable, I particularly like for work the ensemble with the striped tee, black pencil skirt and blue jacket; it’s fun, work appropiate and easily transitions into evening or out of the office. Great job

Love the colour choices for this collection – simple and chic! I wouldn’t tuck the tuxedo top either :)

I actually really like most of these designs/pieces. They look very flexible as far as fabric choices and where you can wear the pieces go. I love pieces that I can be a bum at home in but still wear when I go out for lunch with a friend or a casual date with my husband. Like it a bit more flashy? Maybe add some embellishments or a more gaudy accessory than you would normally go with. Either way, I like these pieces, but to each their own. :^)

Wow! I miss 2010. Although, I dislike the fabric that they chose for the tuxedo-front shirt and it looks terrible tucked in and all buttoned up like that.

I agree with you totally. I see it in a silk, that would be really nice.
