Ideas to inspire – the perfect outfits for successful meetings, important lunch dates and after work cocktails from this collection in the 11/2017 issue of BurdaStyle magazine.

Do you have a dinner function directly after work? This ladylike dress with a softly draping flounce is a great choice. The waistline gets drawn in with a petersham band. The lace sleeves are just the right drama – though if you prefer full coverage at work, simply wear a blazer over the top or sew the entire look in crêpe.

Traditional combines with the cool factor here. The sleeves of this well-tailored jacket with the flap pockets are sewn with a deep black faux nappa leather that gives the illusion of a vest. The asymmetric button closure pulls the
sleeve contrast colour beautifully. Style tip: For a romantic look, pair it with a lace skirt.

Perfect for those mornings where there is little time for lots of fuss. The narrow-fit skirt is still a gaze catcher with its couture pleats – so the rest of your outfit can be restrained and subtle…

Blouses are boring? No way! This style is full of surprises thanks to burnout velvet for the sleeves and back to show a peek of skin. The bodice is a faux wrap with a blouson effect and a deep neckline.

The trouser suit is back – and it looks better than ever. A cool jacket design with panels and a buckle side bar for adjusting the fit is ready for work. The fitted two-piece sleeves have classic four button details.

This jumpsuit sewn with a rosé twill gives a feminine and office appropriate twist to the sporty cut. The trousers are cut like a regular pair of trousers for a streamlined look. The elastic keeps them in place and comfortable for long days. Sexy: The lace top peeks through at the neckline.

This high-neck blouse features a bit of a changeup from the classic bust darts. Mini pleats run horizontally at the front bodice and along the sleeve. The hem of the sleeves is wrapped with a narrow band.

These peg leg trousers have the same strong feel as the blazer for a fully confident business look. They are closed with a side zipper – so the waistband stays streamlined just like the full style.

This style is meant to follow the curves, yet is one that works for the office. The dress follows the shape and has 3/4 sleeves for comfort. The neckline – and truly the full bodice – has a touch of the moto jacket styling. The metal zipper can be adjusted to preference.

These raised waist trousers are the quick and comfortable way to shaping the figure. The design gives a visual stretch to the legs and the matching belt and covered buckle accentuates the waistline. Style tip: To keep the silhouette, tops and blouses should always be tucked into the trousers.

The jumpsuit and the high neck blouse look so terribly washed out I can’t see anything about them. Thank goodness for the line drawings…these do seem like wonderful designs and I can’t wait to see others’ versions!

Eeesh… Not my favorite Burda collection by a long-shot. Everything looks very frumpy and the last photo with the high-waisted trousers is an epic styling fail. It makes this beautiful woman look rather like a humorously costumed Munchkin.
