Take a walk on the wild side with 8 designs in animal print. Leopard and zebra are surprisingly versatile… treat them as neutrals and add a fun pop of color with your jewelry. These patterns are from the March 2011 issue of Burda Style magazine. All instructions to previously published patterns have been updated.

A double layer of fabric gives this animal print skirt extra fullness. It’s a bold look that work well with chunky heels and a safari jacket.

Fix a blah outfit with an animal print bolero jacket. This one is small with a high collar, great for throwing over tank tops and dresses.

Leopard print is so glamorous with a V neckline, fluttery kimono sleeves, and tied up waistline. The Kimono Dress looks equally chic with gladiator sandals or chunky heels.

Make a splash on the city streets in a faux Snakeskin Coat. Simple details like a Peter Pan collar and slash pockets make this bold look pop.

A wraparound snakeskin print blouse is sheer and sexy. Wear it alone for a daring look, or use it to liven up a black camisole for a sophisticated but sultry date look.

Make any outfit instantly edgy with this cool Animal Print Jacket. It’s belted at the bottom and collar for a little biker style.

You’ll definitely get noticed in this animal print Jumpsuit, It’s an all-in-one outfit with serious glamour, from the deep scoop neckline to the wide cuffs and drawstring waist.

Leopard print makes this comfy tee dress extra special. It has a swingy A line shape and cute gathers at the neckline.

Animal prints are seasonless, and are a great way to inject some fierceness and drama into your wardrobe. Whether you pick snakeskin, leopard, or an abstract print, have some fun with a wild style.

Happy sewing!

WOW…I really love every piece in this collection. Just a matter of the right fabrics and for me I could see wearing any of these.

The jumpsuit and the jackets look cool and the bolero could be interesting too.

I love every garment in this collection (except the jumpsuit, which is just not my style). I am not a big fan of animal print, but Burda has shown that animal print can look fun and classy. I’ll keep this collection on the back burner in case it shows up in one of my 2 remaining US edition magazines – I’ve learned my lesson. :)

Ha! Out of this collection the only pattern I love is the jumpsuit :) That’s the great thing about Burda though – can appeal to a wide variety of styles!

This collection appeared in the magazine 3-4 years ago… so I doubt it will show up on the us magazines… but you never know :-)
