Last night was the 72nd Annual Tony Awards and I was loving all the fashion. The Tony Awards are always filled with such excitement and this year it all went down at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and fun fact when I first interned at BurdaStyle my office was in the same block as Radio City Music Hall so I walked by it every day and this just takes me back. Read on to see my best dressed of this performance filled night…

Sara Bareilles hosted the evening and first stepped out in arrivals in this beautiful orange tiered dress. Love this silhouette on her!

Her co-host Josh Groban changed several times throughout the awards for their various duets and obviously the gold ensemble was my favorite!

Matt Bomer, Jim Parsons, Andrew Rannells, and Zachary Quinto were my favorite dressed men of the evening in colored suits. And speaking of suits Christine Baranski wore a stark white suit and looked stunning, want to get the look? Sew up this blazer and matching pants in white. Tavi Gevinson attended in this pretty in pink look with embellishments and looked happy and radiant – wouldn’t expect anything less from this funky fashion blogger.

Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy looked dapper in these looks and I love Claire’s sparkly cheetah print! Then Katharine McPhee and Zac Posen strutted in looking nothing less than glamorous in these navy and velvet looks. Sew up your own velvet blazer using this pattern.

My best dressed of the night was by far Laurie Metcalf in this classic black and white off the shoulder gown. Bee Shaffer and Anna Wintour then arrived pretty in florals and bright colors. I have really been loving yellow lately! To keep up with the sparkle trend Tina Fey rolled up in this shimmering dress with feather trimmed hem.

Who was your best dressed? Also if you plan on attending our Fashion Tour of Italy that flies out of New York, be sure to arrive a day or so early to catch some Broadway shows – I know that’s what Ellen March and I will be doing. There are only FOUR SPOTS left on this trip, so if you want to join in then be sure to register soon.

Happy Sewing!
