Computer-assisted embroidery has now also conquered the realm of home sewing because these multi-talented machines not only stitch everything but also make fantastic embroidery! Various companies have different machines on the market, and each firm has its own embroidery format, that enables the machine to “read” and “interpret” the embroidery data. The manufacturers and formats are as follows:
• Brother = PES and PEC
• Bernina = ART and PES (Deco machines)
• Pfaff = VIP and PCS
• Husqvarna = HUS and VIP
• Janome = SEW and JEW
• Singer = XXX
You need embroidery software to be able to transfer the data from your PC to your sewing machine. Foreign formats can be imported and then saved in a format that your computer can read.
