now DON NOT TRIM until you know if they fit!!!! put them on the regular way and see if it's too tight or too loose. the if it is you will have to take the stitch out and redo.if its perfect then trim the leftover and you have your new found skinnies.I had a size 13 pink pants.I wear a size 5/6. I was mad because I loved the pants and I wanted to wear them so bad as skinnies.I did this they fit me perfectly as skinnies and I love them!!! enjoy:) <3

So far in my small amount of sewing, I don’t like sewing with pins in while i’m sewing! scares me. After I pinned the jeans I took the jeans off and drew a line with highlighter across the pins, making a nice straight line to follow =) Very easy to do! I encourage you to give it a try, skinny jeans are way overpriced!!!

I suggest pinning, rather than marking, the jeans while they are on inside-out. I’ve done this a few times now. By pinning, you can easily shape the leg to be flattering and comfortable on your body. Then take the pants off and even out the new line before stitching.
