Thanks a lot for making this video. Now that I’ve seen you do it, I’m going to test it out on some pants today!

A couple of questions: when using the blind hem foot is it possible that the folded edge should be fed into the left side of the foot? This might solve the stitch width adjustment that you had to make. The other— there needs to be a finish on the raw edge especially with fabrics that ravel. Do you deal with it before or after hemming?
Thank you for a very clear tutorial.

oh man, I used to have that machine!! Be careful with it….it pooped out on me after a year and a half! Granted I was a student and was definitely using it at least 3-5 times a week during the school year
I do miss all those stitches, and it being digital..but I’m back to good ol’ analog machines
great tutorial btw! I wish I had it when I had that blasted machine!!

Thanks. I actually just sewed a blind stitch by hand last night on a dress that I made for my daughter. The stitches didn’t have that v shape it was more slanted vertical lines but the hem still came out really good. I am still trying to figure out what I didn’t do right. I appreciated this demo, I didn’t know how to do a blind stitch on my machine without that extra piece that’s why i did it by hand. Now i know!
