If you have never really attempted embroidery but have an image you'd love to transfer to a favourite item, here is a simple way of transferring any image or design for hand embroidery to get you started. I've thrown in a few tips along the way to make your embroidery easy and lasting as well.
Image, pattern paper, Vilene Stitch 'n Tear (widely available), embroidery thread, pins, felt tip pen, clear nail polish, scissors, sellotape, and of course a garment or fabric you want to embroider. Depending on your fabric you can use an embroidery hoop or ring, for this project I didn't because I was working on a knit fabric which would have been pulled out of shape.
