And to complete the list: with command+shift+4+space you can take a screenshot of a window. All those shortcuts are much easier to use than the grab application. :-)

Alternately, you can press command+shift+3 for a screen shot. If you press command+shift+4 a crosshair will come up and you can crop any part of the screen. The file shows up on your desktop.
