DONE! The jeans are now about 3 cm shorter from the heel than in front, but they seem to be the same lentgh when you have the denims on. Except that the heel won´t slip under your foot all the time. :) Finally you have bootcut jeans that can be worn with flats and high heels. And nobody notices the extra seam in the bottom...

I’ve done that myself, but not quite that way. When you say they don’t look right is that because of the lack of contrast thread, the loss of the angle of the boot cut, or the wash on the bottom? I work as a seamstress and always use the right thread and measure from the bottom up so the angle that the pants had to begin with stays.
