If you are dissatisfied with the way your bust darts turn out (aka: looks like you're very cold and nipply), here's a simple way to curve them and make them more "boosie" shaped.

Technique Materials

fabric, any pattern with bust darts, fabric marking pencil, sewing machine

Great how to! Just wanted to add, if you sew your dart from the wrong end (ie. from the seam instead of from the point) it’s easier to run off at the point, and makes a softer shape. Hope that helps someone! Thanks again

Oh, you are my hero. The combination of DD’s and traditional bust darts tends to frighten children and small animals.Thank you SO much for your very helpful tutorial.

I understood most of this but why did you sew that straight line before sewing the curved one?

Hey. wow great idea. I always hate sewing darts as they always come pouting out or pointed! Now I look forward to make such darts next time I sew a top or dress! Thanks!!
