I tried hemming using zig-zag stitches the usual way, but encountered some problem with softer fabric. It tends to bunch up and made the edges really ugly. So I thought of sewing the zig-zag stitches over a fold to give the fabric a little more weight under the needle. It worked beautifully , In the picture, a lighter coloured thread is used. The raw edges will be concealed totally .
