Ein Drittel der Nahtzugabe inkl. des aufgenähten Schrägbandes muss nun weg. Das wird zurückgeschnitten. Tipp: Je dünner der Stoff, bzw je weniger Stofflagen, umso weniger müsst ihr auch von der Nahtzugabe mit Schrägband wegschneiden. Wozu dieser Schritt dient: Rechts und links auf dem Stoff liegt die Naht des Schrägbandes jetzt nicht mehr aufeinander. Das heißt auf der Unterseite des Stoffe liegt die Naht die das Schrägband außen bekommt, nun im Nahtschatten, das heißt, die Naht liegt knapp oberhalb des Schrägbandes.
