Find the offender. Thread your needle. We didn’t have any matching heavy-duty coat & button thread, so we used 4 thicknesses of all-purpose poly-coated polyester thread. The seam of the umbrella was unsewn at the tip, so we used a <a href="http://www.burdastyle.com/howtos/show/1677"> chain stitch</a> to repair it.
