Place sponge into plastic container and dollop with fabric paint. Press rubber stamp onto paint filled sponge and press onto your plain fabric. You may need to do a trial one to 'blot' off the extra paint. After a few goes you will get a feel for the thickness of your paint and the pressure to apply to the fabric in order to make the imprint you like best.
