Once all of the pages have printed, find the page containing the TEST SQUARE (Usually one of the last pages in the set). Measure the test square. The side should be 4" or 10 cm. This helps ensure that the pattern printed at the proper scale. Now you are ready to begin putting together the pattern. *** You might also try printing just this page first, to make sure that your printer is aligned and printing to scale, before printing everything. The page number will vary with patterns, but look for it in PREVIEW or Adobe Reader towards the end of the file***

For me the pdf comes out as 4.5 inches but printing directly from the website comes out as normal. :)

So what if you didn’t change printer setting and the test square measures 3-3/4"? I don’t even see anywhere on my printer to change the size.
