  This is fabulous! Years ago, I almost bought a skirt that was in this style, but have regretted it ever since. I always think about that skirt and have often wondered how I would go about making it. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I will be making my own finally!

  i tried it and got frustrated because it didnt look any where close to yours, i had no , clue what to do with the base of the top skirt, and wat to do with the waist, i cried , seriously i did, and burned the fabric, i just cant get it. its been a month now and am still frustrated, cause my mind is still trying to figure out how to do it like yours’.

    I have a dress that is waiting for this technique to be done. when I start it, I will video tape it and send it to you. It can be confusing at first, but you’ll get it.

    why dont u use 5cm (or bigger) elastic band for the waist? cos the sample base already use the elastic band and u just have to change em into bigger elastic band and attach with the top.

    and if u want to make the top like the sample, i suggest u to use rayon or cotton fabric cos it has stretch characteristic which is easy to attach with the elastic band^^

  How did you make the waistband on the finished skirt did you put it over the elastic or what? and by the way I love the skirt I am so going to make one once I make my duct tape mannequin
