Attach narrow rolled hem foot. Fold over the pressed edge, secure it with a pin. Place fabric with a small piece of tissue paper under it under the presser foot wrong side up. Start sewing, but don't back track. The needle should be right at the fold of the fabric. Sew about an inch, leave the needle down in the fabric, lift presser foot Holding the edge of the fabric taut, insert the fold up and over into the guide of the foot.. Begin to sew.

I have tried so many methods that simply haven’t worked well for me, so I am very anxious to try this one as your method seems to address what is so confounding about using a rolled hem foot on very lightweight/sheer fabrics. Thanks for the tutorial.

You’re very welcome. I think the key is in the ironing, and a piece of tissue paper to help you get started.
