How to take in the waist of a pair of pants using elastic.
>3/8" wide elastic cord (half the length of the original pants' waist) >pair of pants that fit your hips but are too big in the waist

Great idea!! I lost weight (52 lbs.) and gone down quite a few sizes. For pants and shorts, still need to take in side seams and inseams, but I will definitlatly add this method to the adjustments. Though for a lot-of room pants, I may still need to do it the hard way, too.

Thanks! In the process of losing weight so I’ve been wondering what was the easiest way to take in my pants and shorts, this is perfect.

I love this. I would like to see this for pants without the channel too.

I had never thought of this. Thank you . I got into sewing because I love remaking my clothes. I shop at Goodwill and love to transform something. This is a great idea.
