Some sewing machines have an automatic buttonhole mode, which is fine for the small buttonholes on a blouse. However, when you want to make large buttonholes that keep their shape, it is better to do it like the pro's and make a bound buttonhole. Just practice a little on scrap fabric first, and you'll be able to finish your garments with the neatest buttonholes!
