Take the sleeves off your fitted shirt in the same manner. Instead of cutting down the sides, you can just undo the side seams of this shirt. You might have to undo some of the stitching on the hem as well. The length of this t shirt is not important. Once again, don't touch the collar.
Open the fitted shirt up and lay it down right on top of the men's shirt. This is going to be your pattern. Start by matching up the collars and shoulder seams. It's a good idea to pin here so it stays even.
