I set my machine with the needle as far left as it goes. And sew as close to the edge as possible. Also use a longer stitch length, I would use about a 3.0 on my Necchi.

    Using the longer stitch is a good idea. Did you have any problems sewing over the double thickness of denim?

      I did not have any trouble. But you do need to use a heavier needle at least a 14 (US size) or larger.
