  First, I would like to thank you for this tutorial. I’ve been close to crying trying to hem my vintage Vogue #V1102. It’s rated Easy but I’ve struggled with it. I’ve sewed ( self taught ‘tho :/ I’m kinda embarrassed to say) for awhile and made some difficult things , pretty nicely; but I’m stumped.

  Q: I measured the hem on my dressform and pinned it with a 2" hem. I wanted to know because it’s a full skirt that falls from the bodice it is “drapes” . I would like to machine stitch it but I am wondering what to do with the excess fabric, it doesn’t pin flat and I’m afraid it may “bunch up” . I hope this makes sense to you, somehow. It looks like a cupcake liner at the moment just pinned and I’m really afraid to sew it. Thanks very much . Best Regards, Elise

  Can you describe what the feet are you used, I don not recognise the shape for my machine.
