If your like me and don't want to spend nearly £200 odd on a dress making dummy or can't afford it, or your measurements are between sizes and you want the best possible body double you can find... Make your own! here is how below. ON THIS CLIP FROM YOU-TUBE
I have made mine last week with the help of my Fiance and it was a laugh and a great success. I have already made a shirt using my own body double that fits perfectly.
The only variations I did were:
I used duct tape not the packing paper as shown on the video
I paper mached my body double with 2 coats of newspaper over the duct tape to make it more stronger, I did this AFTER I had stuffed my body double and placed it on my stand so that my body shape remained while it dried.
I used an old tall lamp as my stand I just unscrewed it to make it shorter and used that for a base.
I would recommend not using anything to heavy too stuff your body double, use newspapers, plastic bags and SOME old remets of material as if you use all material/fabric it will be too heavy for your stand. (Depending on what type you use)
I also added a wooden hanger, which is balanced on the top of the bottle and taped on, while stuffing the body double to reinforce the shoulders and add strength.
