Ribbonruching_large

You can use this technique on any ribbon, wired or not. The tighter you gather it, the more defined your roses will be. I just roll it around my finger until I like the way it looks.

How do you “overdye”? I don’t know anything about this technique but it looks interesting. I love the dress also. I have seen very expensive dresses like this for children and have wanted to try one so I am glad you put the tutorial up. Thanks!

Your welcome! I would put flowers on everything if I could.

This can be very time consuming. Takes 20 mins to make the skirt and 3 days to embellish it!

Thanks a lot for your explanations! Too sad I already started a timekilling sewing-project… But I’ll definetely remember this for my next dress/skirt!
