Purchased handbag with narrow removable strap. Piece of firm fabric (upholstery fabric), 30 x 45 cm (12 x 18 ins). Fusible web. Petersham ribbon, 1 cm (3/8 in) wider than strap: 0.40 m (16 ins). Feathers in various colors. Fabric marker in colors of the feathers. Tailor’s chalk. Paper. Sewing thread.

Please add a note somewhere on the ethical sourcing of naturally moulted feathers. Commercial feather ‘harvesting’ is stomach turning and not a practice I want to see Burdastyle contributing to.
