Sew for each pocket, 1 piece of the main and 1 piece of the lining fabric using 1/4" seam allowance, leave an opening in the bottom or top for turning. Once sewn, clip the corners and I like to use pinking shears on the edges but you can just trim them slightly. Turn your fabric right sides out and iron. Top stitch the opening closed and top stitch what will be the top of your pocket (the edge you have sewn to close the pocket can be the top if you choose and you will only have to topstitch this edge).
