I like to get all the prep work done at the beginning. Take your 4 strips that measure 5x6 and iron in half wrong sides together, then open and fold each side into the center and iron again, then you will iron these in half again. You should have 4 strips that are ready to sew for the tabs. Top stitch close to the edge of the fold and on the other side. Lay these aside until needed. Do the same for the handle strips.
