So the majority of us know what our size is when we go to buy clothes in a store. What we may have a hard time with is figuring out our size when we are sewing. After you have followed the “Measure Yourself" how to what’s the next step?

I find you can NEVER trust size charts which is really anoying. Last time I followed a size chart the garment was a good size too big, but I am always afraid if I cut to smaller size it will be the time the chart is right. This did happen to me once and the garment wound up too small. :( wish they could be more consistant.

This size chart is COMPLETLY different to the one on my Burda pattern, thanks to this I have just wasted a whole pattern.

Are you saying that you should follow the size chart on your pattern or the website. On the website it says I should use a size US 14… but on the pattern it says a US 20!

I have a question… according to the Burda size chart, I am an average 42, but the size that fit me perfectly is Burda 40 (with a 42 bust and 38 waist)… I have done my measurements exactly as explained, so is anyone in the same situation ?

Hey Supermom, and anyone else who is outside the average size range, On the size chart page http://www.burdastyle.com/content/size_chart there’s a plus size chart and a girls’ size chart. Just scroll down! :)
