scraps of fabric can be used to embelish garments in an inepensive way. here is one example known as potli buttons.potli in india means a bundle, something which is wraped using fabric. these kind of buttons can be made using the same fabric as that of the garment or with a contrasting or complementing color. you can add them at necklines, on the edges of a yoke or on the edge of the sleeves.hope you try them out.

My grandma had a dress with the potlis!!! I just remembered it when I saw your how-to. Great idea! Thank you for the how-to!! (I already have a project in mind with the potlis :) )
