7. Line up the waistband and adjust the length accordingly with the length of the skirt body. Pin together the front and back waistband and set aside. 8.Ready the lining of your skirt by cutting it to be roughly the same width as the skirt shell, then sewing one side together. 9-10. Sew in your invisible zipper. I placed the zipper, facing against the right side of the shell, between the lining, sewed it in place, and then flipped it out and did the same to the other side of the zipper. Whatever means, get the zipper in place, with 3" (about the height of your waistband) overhang. 11. Baste together the skirt shell and lining so that they are the same size, which should fit snuggly on your waist. Open your waistband up and pin it onto the body of the skirt. 12. Top stitch on the edge of the waistband, along the zipper and then to attach the waistband to the body of the skirt. 13. Not pictured- Hem the bottom of the skirt to the appropriate length, and then snip any strings.
