Step 4
Materials: Dress. Piece of contrasting fabric, approx. 25 x 45 cm (10 x 18 ins). Interfacing. Sewing thread. Vanishing chalk. Instructions: Iron interfacing to wrong side of fabric piece. Use vanishing chalk to draw band pieces as desired. On our dress, the front band is 42 x 11 cm (16 1/2 x 4 1/2 ins). The side band is approx. 6 x 17 cm (2 1/2 x 6 3/4 ins). Trim ends of front band at angles as shown or as desired. Pin band pieces to dress and edgestitch in place.
