using tacking thread sew two rows of tacking stitches about 1cm apart from each over, running horizontally down the center of the fabric. do not secure the threads by using a back stitch, instead at the top: tie the individual ends together. and, at the bottom, leave the threads lose. Then gather the thread to get the desired fullness for the center of the bow. rearrange and play around with the shape until you are happy with the desired effect. (i drew this out the wrong way for my webcam, so instead of reading left to right it reads right to left.)
