Thank you for your interest in our patterns. These are our terms of sale for all patterns purchased directly from us at BurdaStyle and via burdastyle.com. If you do not agree to these terms, do not purchase patterns from BurdaStyle.
The patterns we sell include patterns created by us at BurdaStyle, patterns from burda style magazine, and Partner Brand patterns. All patterns you purchase from BurdaStyle are for download ONLY. At this time, we do not physically mail, electronically mail or otherwise send patterns to you. Please note that patterns from burda style magazine do not have a seam allowance, you must add the seam allowance yourself.
We offer our Partner Brands the chance to showcase and sell their patterns through their BurdaStyle profile page. Some of our Partner Brands sell their patterns under their own terms, which may be distinctly different from ours. Please make sure you review the applicable terms before each sale, and make sure you are aware of whom you’re buying from. Some Partner Brand patterns may be hosted outside of burdastyle.com. We are not responsible for these sites, and you enter any third party site at your own risk. If you buy patterns outside of burdastyle.com, our terms of sale do not apply and we are not responsible for these transactions.
If you buy patterns from a Partner Brand on burdastyle.com, please be aware that BurdaStyle is not responsible for the pattern or instruction content. If you have any questions on the pattern or instructions, please contact our Partner Brands directly. The relevant contact information will be listed on the BurdaStyle.com profile of the Partner Brand, on the Partner Brand patterns and the Partner Brand instructions.
All patterns are available in .pdf format for download only. Your purchased patterns are located in your Purchase History within your member profile. To access your profile, click your username and select the “My Account” tab. From there you can then download the patterns onto your computer or storage device.
You may print patterns yourself, or print them in a copy shop. Not all patterns are available for printing in a copy shop. To guarantee best results, print all available copy shop patterns “As Is” on 3 feet or approximately 1 meter wide paper. If you do not follow these instructions, the printed patterns may be distorted. Do not modify the file or the pattern may be distorted. Detailed printing instructions for both At-Home and Copy Shop printing can found in the following tutorials:
