This was a fun dress to sew, very different from past patterns, and gave me an opportunity to try out new presser feet for the hem, buttons, edge stitching, and button holes.. There was too much blousing at the waist until darts marked for the corresponding blouse pattern were added. No additional modifications were made to this Burda pattern. Additionally the jersey behaved very well on my non-serger machine, even though a paper stabilizer was needed to aid in the button hole making. The dress instructions required prior sewing knowledge as some of the steps were a bit skeleton, and I had to verify a handbook to insure proper sleeve vent application. Overall a fun dress to make. Looking forward to the next Burdastyle pattern!
