I got such a beautiful girl as a client this time. She wanted a flowy dress in pink. This project reminds me of Adriana Ozorio, a talented seamstress that used to delight us with beautiful dresses. I haven’t seen her around this site any more. My client requested a lot of fabric, so I used 7 yards of taffeta for the underskirt and the same amount of chiffon for the outer shell of the skirt. Since the skirt was a big gathered rectangle of both fabrics, I used the rest of it to drape the neck, bodice, waist band and appliques. The flowers around the neck was the time consuming task, I had to cut and burn the edges and I used a bead to secure them. She looked beautiful, happy, and ready for professional pictures.
