I used one of my favorite knit dress patterns, Vogue 8181, for this dress. The fabric was again purchased on a work trip, this time to San Jose and Capos, in Costa Rica. Buying fabric on travels has to be one of the best ways to remember a place, isn’t it?
As always, I lengthened the bodice and skirt, both near the waist, to accomodate for my long torso, but it’s an easy adjustment. The motif here was helpful in the hemming of this dress, and allowed me a chance to practice print alignment!
There’s a more in-depth description of this project on my blog, Creative Laurels.
