A simple dress made of border print jersey ( I only wonder if it’s so simple, why I couldn’t finish it few weeks…hmm). The fabric was supposed to become a jacket at first but having a piece almost 180 × 180 cm, I couldn’t resist the temptation to make a dress. And I see it was a right decision:-)
I arranged the border on the top of the bodice and sleeves. I think in this way the flower pattern is shown in its best, besides, a darker bottom attracts less attention to the hips:-)
For the better fitting I added one more short dart along the given one otherwise the dress would be looser silhouette.
I also shortened the sleeves to the normal length, cut them wider (added about 6 cm on each side), gathered them and processed with bias binding.
I also had to line the dress not to bury the lining (bought for the jacket:-)) in the bottom of my stash.
