My two year old has fallen in love with the Alice in Wonderland Disney Cartoon. She decided to be the queen of hearts for Halloween. I used a burda style pattern for the top http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/kids-princess-costume-012016 and drafted a simple pattern for the skirt using the top pattern as a reference. I finished the edges and created a collar with satin blanket binding. For her crown I cut a simple crown shape out of felt and hot glued it to a small hair comb. For the wand I purchased wand and hot glued the felt heart onto it.
My one year old son will be the white rabbit to match his sister. For his costume I drafted a simple pattern by tracing one of his t-shirts to create the tank, free handed a pocket watch with fabric markers and and added a felt heart with liquid stitch glue. I finished the collar with ruffle trim.
