Strapless Romper – Burdastyle 4/2012 #109

Yay time for some home pampering! This is another pattern I traced a few years ago when I first started sewing, and which I only just stitched up, the short romper version of the strapless jumpsuit. It was fairly straightforward to sew, except I added lace/eyelet edging to the top edge, waist, and leg hems. I also raised the leg hems up with fold over cuffs to make them slightly shorter. I ended up making the top edge a little wavy and messy so I stitched some white cotton tape around the inside edge to neaten it. Great for a spa day at home, get out your manicure set lol, although I’ve seen young ladies wearing them out to the beach etc. Oh I almost forgot: I omitted the pockets, simply as I never had enough of the cotton remnant left in my vintage stash, so its not exactly the most useful romper lolz!
