This is a pattern I fell in love with right from the start. I liked the cropped length, the collar and the black color.
My love for colorful stuff makes it difficult to match things together sometimes, so I’ve been doing some conscious choices about using “neutral” colors for some projects that can be described as wardrobe basics.
This is one of those.
I used this nice warm black velvet for this jacket, it has a bit of stretch and I probably should’ve used lining that’s a bit stretchy too to take advantage of it…but I didn’t.
I bought this beautiful soft cotton in soft purples and greys to use as lining, but then decided to use up things from my stash instead. And therefore the lining ended up being light cotton canvas in light green (remainder from the back of this blouse) apart from the upper sleeve that are in cobalt blue (remainder from lining of this bolero). Well, why not? :D
The result is a jacket I love! And that’s easy to match with many different styles and colors :) Me happy :)
