October DiVine asked me to create a 40’s style suit for her photo shoot. She wanted a peplum style jacket and a pencil skirt with pleated detail at the back. The skirt detail, is listed as a separate project.
As she has a large bust and small back, I had to alter the pattern to fit. I also added a pleat detail into the peplum with a buttoned band top.
After completing the jacket I bound the edge with the cream fabric from the skirt. Next time, I would do this differently, as it would have been easier, and given a better result, with less bulk.
