This is based on Vogue pattern V8930. I found a beautiful double-sided cashmere wool blend, and wanted to expose the grey side for the collar. So I chose View B, which features the “wrong” side of the fabric. However, I didn’t take into account that I couldn’t leave a raw edge with this particular fabric. This double-sided fabric was too thin to split apart and fold in to create a finished edge. I ended up folding in the edges like an accordion around the collar to maintain the camel on the outside and grey on the inside. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do the same for the hem. All in all, it turned out to be a nice, luxurious jacket for cool weather.
