This is a pretty straight forward Tee shirt, which could be lengthened to a shift dress. I think the key with sequinned fabric is to keep it really simple, avoiding darts and the like. This is quite an old fashioned pattern, which was helpful, as although it it T shirt shaped, it does not rely on stretch in the fabric and has a back neck opening, rather than any zip.
I’d not sewn sequins previously and really, it couldn’t be simpler and I had chosen these rather low shine ones, which are a bit softer. All that said, they do crunch their way through the machine. The result is great as from tracing to trying on and finish was only a couple of hours and I’m off out tonight wearing the top.
