I saw the oversized sleeved top pattern in Burda magazine 12/2013 and I had to make it!
The advantage is that it is so simple, you can easily complete the project in a few hours. I have not applied a bias cut band round the neck, instead I folded it back a few mm and applied steel co-ordinated sequins.
The fabric has no stretch, so I decided to cut the pattern at largest size. It fits me perfectly, so I would say it would easily accommodate a size 8 – to a size 12 uk.
The skirt: This is another story. I bought this size 22 skirt in a big M&S sale. It was a plain miniskirt, however I loved the fabric and the leatherette appliqu. The skirt was initially dead straight. I have made two folds at the front and two at the back and secured them in place with four co-ordinated buttons. CArefully calculated pleats reduced the waist size to 72 cms.
The skirts reminds me so much of the Karl Lagerfeld project published in Burda magazine.
