I decided I wanted to make a loose-ish t-shirt, but not something completely plain. I bought this fabric at Tessuti, because the colours are simple but not dull. I’ve seen slashed backs and sleeves on tops and dresses for a while, and decided that slashed sleeves would work well for this fabric and for this shape of t-shirt. Although doing the slashes was a bit tedious – especially hiding all the loose thread! It wasn’t particularly hard, it just requires a bit more attention to sew the edges of each piece.
